Janelle Edwards-Spear has been immersed in the world of interiors for as long as she can remember - devouring her mother’s Australia Home Beautiful magazines, rearranging rooms on weekends and seeking out antique shops and auctions for those one-off pieces that brought character and a sense of belonging to her family home.

Her early curiosity has evolved into a career defined by intuition, creativity and craft. With a background in hospitality and events, Janelle brings both flair and meticulous organisation to every project. Her hands-on approach ensures that each home feels personal and deeply considered - never formulaic, always authentic.

During her years in the UK, Janelle spent time studying the finer details of interior design through courses and mentorships with architects, kitchen designers and trade specialists - building a solid foundation across all aspects of design. Her knowledge spans architectural history, fabrics, lighting and colour philosophy and even includes a period as Kitchen Editor for a regional food magazine - a role that deepened her understanding of how homes are lived in as much as how they look.

Now based on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Janelle’s aesthetic is timeless and grounded - influenced by her international experience yet distinctly at home in the Australian landscape. Her approach is intuitive and collaborative, drawing on her clients’ stories and possessions to create interiors that feel both lived-in and beautiful.

Her projects are guided by a sense of place and play, shaped as much by the character of the building as by the people who call it home.
